Privacy Policy
Full business and data-protection contact details will be published before the service launches publicly.
Who we are
FairSalvage is the data controller for the information you submit. Full legal and contact details will be published before public launch.
What we collect
- Your name, email address, mobile number and preferred contact method
- Your vehicle's outward postcode area
- Vehicle details, including registration, make, model, year and mileage
- Insurance information, including your insurer, write-off status and category, the value placed on the vehicle and any salvage-retention figure
- Damage information and photographs you choose to upload
- Basic campaign information such as the page you arrived on, the referring website and any campaign parameters in the link you followed
Why we use it
To carry out the free review you requested, to contact you about your submission, to assess whether we may wish to make an offer to purchase your vehicle, and to understand which sources produce genuine enquiries. FairSalvage provides information relating to written-off vehicles and may offer to purchase suitable vehicles. We are not your insurer, loss assessor or legal representative. Submitting a vehicle does not guarantee an offer and you are under no obligation to sell.
Our lawful basis is your consent for the initial review and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service. Marketing messages are sent only where you have opted in separately, and you can withdraw that at any time.
How we store it
Submissions and photographs are stored in access-controlled systems. Photographs are held in private storage and are not publicly accessible. Only authorised FairSalvage staff can view submissions.
How long we keep it
Our formal retention period will be published before public launch. We will keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here and any legal obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to processing or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. To exercise these rights, email fairsalvage26@gmail.com or call 07405 820992.
